Microphone and pop filter.

You wouldn’t believe everything that is going on in my life right now! Professional voiceover conferences, singing lessons, acting classes, a full-time job, and caring for an elderly parent. And in the midst of ALL of that, I am looking to move into a bigger home. Which means…UPGRADING MY VOICEOVER STUDIO SPACE!!!

In consideration of this anticipated move, I had to think about all of the stuff I’d likely pack up and move. My furniture, television, computer monitor, family photos, and home studio equipment, just to name a few items. I looked at my sound booth with a deep sense of pride and joy, but quickly realized that perhaps it was time to let her go (yes…she is a girl and is MY BABY). I knew I could build bigger and better at my new location. And then, I realized how instrumental my sound booth had been to the success of my voiceover journey. I thought about how it could benefit someone else starting out in this industry, because they might be low on funds to build or buy their own sound booth. Maybe they needed to improve the quality of your audio recordings, as I did long ago.

This is where YOU come in…

I invite you to enter a contest for free to win my sound boothIt is valued at $650! This contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States (including D.C.). Void where prohibited.

Official Rules

1. Produce a one to two minute recording of your voice reading the following lines (written by Jenn Johnson, Seth Mosley, and Jeremy Riddle):

I know you’re trying hard to just be strong
And it’s a fight just to keep it together
I know you think that you are too far gone
But hope is never lost
Hold on, don’t let go
Just take one step closer
Put one foot in front of the other
You’ll get through this
Just follow the light in the darkness
You’re gonna be ok
I know your heart is heavy from those nights
But just remember that you are a fighter
You never know just what tomorrow holds
You’re stronger than you know
When the night is closing in
Don’t give up and don’t give in
This won’t last, it’s not the end
You’re gonna be ok
